Honestly I'm not sure I like the direction this is going.

First the prologue. This feels like something that fun once or twice and than it gets tedious and repetitive.

Making you simulated kink social media app, more like an actual social media app again makes the game more tedious and unless you get more freedom and meaningful interaction is mostly useless fluff. And more freedom and interaction would explode the number of required renders. Dealing fake profiles in a game is not be any more fun than dealing with them in is real life.

Having an actual map with permanent locations is nice, but what does it do for the player to still have the flat of a woman marked on the map after you have done the 2-3 meetings you have with most of them?

Saving now character profiles as opposed to positions in actual scenes again feels like something that makes trying out different options more tedious.

I must say, I regret that version 0.19.1 was never published here more than that the prologue of what sounds like a rework version 0.20 is not.
was there a 19.1? cause my biggest disappointment was not getting the upcoming scenes with the bargirl from the banner..

I've tried rechecking the patreon, but it's mostly locked for me (not a member), and he mentions the drastic changes and implies the content isn't there in the polls, but is there something explicit about the amount of content I'm not seeing or do you simply have a 0.2+ version?
I have the 0.2.6 version. It's 10-15 minutes of very very linear gameplay.

Has anyone seen a changelog for 0.207 ?

What's in it
  • Encounter with Natalie and all the supporting changes in the game (Contacts app, Browser app, Phone app).
  • Lots of logic fixes and handling outcomes where you end up going to see Natalie instead of Angela on Saturday.
Known issues
  • I chose not to integrate any save overwriting mechanics (always create new saves until 0.20.8) even though it was reported, I overextended myself fully reworking the Natalie encounter (15h+ today). Will be fixed by 0.20.8
  • Focused on content instead of fluff like quest log and secret gallery. That will be coming out in 0.20.8 in a few days alongside other goodies (yes, actual content like now).

Take the above with a pinch of salt, cause as I explained before, 0.20.x is a new game at this point, and everything in 0.19.0 and before is scrapped at this point, without a concrete indication if all or any of it is coming back.

I think 0.20.8 is coming out tomorrow, so hopefully it will have more content.

According to :
When will the full 0.20.x release... Release?
By end of April, with full parity with what was in 0.19.0 in combination with all the new content and all the new systems.
Now how much credence one gives to that timeline is your own call, but that definitely counts as a concrete indication :)

Quite the ambitious reboot. The UI feels very smooth. I love how you can open the map and the phone, separately or at the same time, and it doesn't get in the way of the rest of the game. I would like to be able to use my keyboard to type adresses in the mobile phone browser.

The story is interesting enough. Now we just wait for the normal content to be reimplemented. I do remember playing the previous version, long time ago, and I did like the renders and many scenarios. I do hope that this newer and better framework will make implementing story ideas easier, and less of a chore to deal with for the developer.

If I did not know anything about their previous work, this would already be an impressive start. I've seen other games, terribly codes messes, that have been praised for years for "having potential", when having clearly none. This one does, so we'll see if it lives up to it.

I guess the OP could do with a notice that this new version is a 'reboot' of sorts and all previous content is yet to come soon?

I was confused at first when it kicked me back to the start screen. Looks promising from the prologue (although, animations (being generous) are wanting).

The dev seems excited about it all, which is a good sign.
